October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same.  Both women and men can get breast cancer, though it is much more common in women.  Other than skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States. Some women are at higher risk for breast cancer than others because of their personal or family medical history or because of certain changes in their genes.

April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month and is in concert with the long recognized Testicular Cancer Awareness Week, which starts on April 1st.  Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15-34 years old.  Movember (also known as No-Shave November) is an annual event involving the growth of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of various cancers and promote men’s health.

Grow a Pair supports these causes and created great shirts to promote awareness.  Check out our shirts and we will donate a portion of the proceeds from every cancer awareness shirt purchased to breast cancer and testicular cancer awareness to help find a cure for these terrible diseases.
